Here's a little introduction to what one can expect from the ISN mentor program.
The ISN mentor program is for all foreign students who are coming to study at Leiden University. It can make 'your' time in The Netherlands more pleasant and fun!!! Through the mentor program, foreign students can meet Dutch students and learn more about the local culture, the great dutch student life and the do's and dont's of Leiden!;)
It works very simple...
With the help of students from Leiden University (mostly Dutch natives from the various academic faculties) Sophie will introduce and guide you through the popular sights and lesser known attractions in our Leiden "universe." The mentor helps international students settle in during the first couple of weeks and stay better informed through the semester. Your mentor is also a local you can always rely on to help guide you and explain the workings of your host country.
When you sign up for the mentor program Sophie will try to match you to a mentor group where people have the same interests, are around the same age and have the same field of study. With the mentor program you get the opportunity to meet people easily and a mentor you can rely on!
So if you are an international student...
And you want to have a personal mentor, please fill the following information below and send Sophie an e-mail as soon as possible, she will find you a suitable mentor and get back to you as soon as possible.
Sign up as soon as possible because if you wait too long, there may no longer be a mentor available for you!!!

If you want to be a mentor, send an e-mail to Sophie with the following info:
Are you an enthousiastic Dutch student and would you like to show international students around... to places such as your student society, all the isn parties and activities, our wednesday night drinks at Einstein, and anything you would personally think they must see or experience in the Netherlands?? Then you should sign up to be one of our mentors, each group will consist of two mentors who together can show the internationals around. If you want, you can sign up together with someone who is also interested but ofcourse Sophie can also always find you a suitable co-mentor!!!
