Welcome to the website of International Student Network - Integration Leiden! Sounds complicated, but it’s really not. ISN-I is an organization that aims to give the international student an interesting, exciting, and all-out great time in Leiden. We give you the opportunity to meet other international and Dutch students, get to know Dutch student life, and get a feel for Dutch culture.
In order to reach our objective, we organize numerous activities, excursions, weekends, drinks, parties, and more! Check out the website for the calendar of events. Additionally, we have a mentor program cut out for you, in which an international student is brought in touch with a student that has been studying here for a while. Check the information on the mentor program to find out more.

Frank - President
Hello all! My name is Frank Abe Nijenhuis, and I'm 20 years young. This year I'll be the President of the ISN-I Leiden Board, which will be guiding you all throughout your stay in one of the best periods of your life! We'll show you all of the ins, outs, do's and don'ts in our fantastic hometown of Leiden and lots of other interesting places! This year you can expect many parties, drinks and other activities which we'll be organizing for you, all in first class locations like HIFI, InCasa and of course the Einstein bar. Of course we'll also be your gateway to Leiden University, so no matter what your problem is, you can always come to one of us.
Personally I'm well aware of what it means to be studying in a foreign country, having done a six week training period in Brazil where I'm originally from. Next year I'll be a second year medical student at the Universiteit van Amsterdam, even though I live in Leiden.
In short, come to us and we'll make sure that you'll have a fantastic stay in Holland!

Hey everybody! My name is Chris, I'm the Treasurer and Vice-President of the ISN-I board this year. I'm 24, and have always lived in Leiden, so I know everything there is to know about integrating in Leiden! I'm currently doing a Biomedical Sciences Master. I also play guitar in a rockband and play basketball at the university sports center.
But most of all, I like to party! So that's what we are gonna do this year, we're going to organize lots of parties, drinks and other exciting activities especially for you! So come join us and all the other international students at the activities and you will DEFINITELY have a great time here!

Hi everybody! My name is Evelien, and I will be the Secretary of ISN-I and do the promotion this year. So you can expect a lot of e-mails from me, to make sure you are all coming to the drinks every Wednesday, the great parties and cool activities that we will organize for you! I'm 23 years old, and a sixth years student of History, starting my master Ancient History in September. After studying for six months in Rome as an exchange student I got enthousiastic about the international student life. I had a great semester, and I'll hope we can make sure you will also have th best time in Leiden!

Daphne and Lysanne - Events Officer & Acitivities Officer
Hello everybody! My name is Daphne Roca and I'm 21 years old and I will be Activities/Event Officer of the ISN-I Board 2009/2010. But I'm not alone, I will do this with my friend Lysanne! Together we will be responsible for all the exciting activities and events of this year, which we hope you all will attend! Besides ISN-I I'm studying Languages and Cultures of Latin America and I live in the centre of Leiden. I love to meet new people, travelling and of course partying! So I hope you guys will have a great year with us!
Hi everybody! My name is Lysanne and I'll be your Activities Officer this year. I'll take this task together with Daphne. I'm 20 years old and a third year student in Latin American Languages & Cultures at the University of Leiden. Besides studying I work at a bar in Leiden, try to work out a couple times a week and love to travel, party, meet lots of people and have a good time!

Hi you all! I'm Sophie, and I'll be your Mentor Coordinator. I'm 21 years old and a fourth years History student. I've been an exchange student myself last semester in Edinburgh and I've also been a mentor for several years, so I'm more than happy to coordinate the mentorprogram and of course the language exchange!
